Toymaking

Our Shed’s primary activity is making toys which we donate in large numbers to The Salvation Army and Wesley Mission for distribution at Christmas time to disadvantaged children in the Sydney region and beyond.

Our toymaking production commences early in the new year and continues for ten months up until we proudly hand over more than 400 toys in November each year.

Members take great pleasure in making a vast array of wooden toys for boys and girls at Christmas time.

For boys we typically make wooden trucks, trains, bikes, cars and even mini service stations.

For girls we typically make doll’s cradles, jewellery boxes and table and chair sets.

In 2023 we began donating selected wooden toys to the LifeLine shops at Pennant Hills and Waitara for them to sell to help raise funds for their national crisis support and suicide prevention services.
